This is an open call to individuals, duo, small groups or collectives for your proposal/ideas to use the gallery and workshop space for experimentation, collaboration, performance, documentation of work, and/or exhibition etc.

This is a free opportunity. All we ask in return is that you document your time in the space and share this information with us when completing a short feedback form at the end of the period about what you did and how your practice benefitted.

Also, we ask that you please tag/collaborate with the gallery account if you post on Instagram. We will happily share any publicity

There will be two fortnight long slots available, offering the possibility of a show spanning 2 weekends for each slot if wanted:

Period 1 - Wednesday 6th August - Tuesday 19th August

Period 2 - Wednesday 20th August - Tuesday 2nd September

(NB - The workshop space will not be available between 6th - 11th August)

ABOUT ORIEL CANFAS

Oriel Canfas is a long-established artist led gallery situated in the lovely Canton area of Cardiff. It has 8 studio holder artists working on site.  It has a busy programme of exhibitions and workshops throughout the year.

The gallery measures approximately 7m x 12m. One section (approx 4m x 4m) has a double height ceiling. Dividers can be put into the gallery, if required. There is a darker corner which works quite well for projection.

PRACTICALITIES

This opportunity is open to any UK based artists at any stage of their career.

Oriel Canfas’s commission is 30% of any sales resulting from this opportunity.

A keyholder agreement must be signed.

The gallery and workshop must be returned to its original state, clean and with white walls (no holes).

You will be responsible for invigilating the space during any times it is open to the public.
